Labour Increase Vote in By-Election

Labour have increased their share of the vote in the recent By-Election for the Chandler's Ford Division of Hampshire County Council.


With 285 votes representing 6.8%, an increase over last time the seat was fought in 2013.  UKIP in contrast seen their vote share decrease by 13.3% with the seat ultimately won by the Conservatives.


Labour Candidate Sarah Smith [pictured] said “We had a good campaign, we are very happy that we have increased our share of the vote and we are closing the gap on UKIP, which shows people are looking for positive politics.”
