Labour Join Other Parties for Remain Vote

Winchester Labour have joined with other major political parties along with Britain Stronger in Europe in campaigning for a Remain vote in the EU referendum.  A street stall was held on Sunday with Labour, the Green Party and Stronger In represented. There has also been significant involvement from the Liberal Democrats and some Conservatives locally.

Secretary of Winchester Labour Andy Adams said 'We have had a really positive response with many people stopping to show their support and pick up posters, as well as some undecided people engaging on the issues.  There is support from across the political spectrum in Winchester for a Remain vote as the best choice for the future of Britain and to ensure our City and communities can prosper.  We will be running an active and positive campaign between now and Thursday and on polling day itself.'

You can find our more about Labour's campaign at the Labour In for Britain website and on the local benefits of EU membership on our MEP Anneliese Dodds' blog.  The Britain Stronger in Europe also contains further information on the reasons the EU strengthens the UK economy and our rights.
