Labour have selected local activist Sarah Smith to contest the upcoming County-Council By-Election in Chandler's Ford.
Sarah has lived and worked in Chandler’s Ford for three years and believe's that local people deserve a Councillor who will work tirelessly to represent the community fairly and protect local interests.
Sarah will fight to protect frontline services and will oppose the budget cuts that threaten the support and development that Chandler's Ford needs.
She will ensure that the community is strongly represented and will work with other Labour Councillors to oppose the Conservatives' unfair, unnecessary and ideological cuts.
Chair of Chandler's Ford Labour Party Gwyneth Hubert said 'Sarah is a great candidate and will make a great Councillor representing local people. We will be fighting a strong campaign in this by-election - it is time for a change and Labour are the only party who will stand up for local people and quality local services for our community'.
